Azerbaijan Has 1% Inflation in Dec; Average Annual Inflation Slows To 2.2% in 2024
Azerbaijan experienced 1% inflation in December 2024 against 0.7% in November, the State Statistics Committee told.
Food products increased 2%, non-food products 0.2%, and services 0.3% in December. Prices for eggs surged 6.5% and vegetables 10.5% in the month.
Average annual inflation slowed to 2.2% in 2024 from 8.8% in 2023. The average annual rise in prices for food products was 1.3%, for non-food products 1.6%, and services 4%.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy has forecast average annual inflation of 2.7% in 2024.
