Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee to Lam have adopted a joint statement on establishing strategic partnership between the two countries.
The leaders met for negotiations in Baku. Upon their conclusion, they exchanged documents signed between the two countries.
In particular, Azerbaijan and Vietnam exchanged a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the energy sector, a memorandum of understanding between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (PetroVietnam), a memorandum of understanding between SOCAR Trading Singapore PTE LTD and Binh Son Refining and PetrochemicaI JSC, and other documents.
The parties also signed a package of documents on cooperation in various fields.
